Fusionn\u00e9 avec la commune de <strong>Comes<\/strong> en 1828 &#8211; dont il existe des \u00e9crits datant du IXe si\u00e8cle -, le village s&rsquo;est construit dans l&rsquo;obtique de repousser les invasions fran\u00e7aises et espagnoles. Lorsqu&rsquo;on s&rsquo;y approche d&rsquo;abord, une sensation de grandeur s&rsquo;impose \u00e0 nous. Et pour cause : il culmine \u00e0 presque <strong>350 m\u00e8tres<\/strong>. Mais c&rsquo;est seulement lorsqu&rsquo;on le viste qu&rsquo;on d\u00e9couvre r\u00e9ellement sa hauteur. En fl\u00e2nant dans ses petites rues pittoresques, en montant les quelques marches \u00e7\u00e0 et l\u00e0, on arrive au niveau d&rsquo;un <strong>belv\u00e9d\u00e8re<\/strong> et on est stup\u00e9fait de la beaut\u00e9 du paysage : un horizon parfait sur les <strong>Pyr\u00e9nn\u00e9es<\/strong> et surtout de le <strong>pic du Canigou<\/strong>, un des symboles de la <strong>Catalogne<\/strong>. On d\u00e9couvre alors d&rsquo;autant plus la nature entourant le village et ce sentiment de s\u00e9r\u00e9nit\u00e9 et de repos qu&rsquo;elle nous apporte.
