Ses cr\u00e9ations, m\u00ealant <strong>tissage traditionnel et techniques innovantes<\/strong>, s\u2019inspirent des savoir-faire ancestraux d\u2019Am\u00e9rique latine tout en explorant de nouvelles fronti\u00e8res esth\u00e9tiques. En associant l\u2019or, la peinture et des mat\u00e9riaux naturels \u00e0 ses fibres, Olga de Amaral transcende les limites du textile pour cr\u00e9er des \u0153uvres uniques, \u00e0 la fronti\u00e8re de la peinture et de la sculpture. N\u00e9e en 1932 \u00e0 Bogot\u00e1, elle a \u00e9tudi\u00e9 l&rsquo;architecture avant de se sp\u00e9cialiser dans l&rsquo;art textile \u00e0 l&rsquo;acad\u00e9mie de Cranbrook, aux \u00c9tats-Unis. Son travail se distingue par l&rsquo;utilisation innovante de mat\u00e9riaux tels que le lin, le coton, le crin de cheval, le gesso et les feuilles d&rsquo;or ou de palladium.
